Capability Statement ...

BACKGROUND

ChangeMaker is devoted to setting up a framework to encourage a pattern-setting system to strengthen and engage the private sector in the mainstream social and economic development. ChangeMaker’s objective is to address the urgent and critical issues of a society in an integrated way and provide an enabling environment to encourage participation of the community to take the programs on their own. The key focus of ChangeMaker is to incrementally link the current enterprise development and micro credit programs to a meaningful market driven process, which can serve as a vehicle for effective economic development for a wider cross-section of the community – man-women, privileged and marginalized.

As a non-profit social change organization (NGO) ChangeMaker carries out initiatives for sustainable human, social and economic development through the promotion of Enterprise Development, Good Governance, Gender Mainstreaming, ICT, Survey and Research, and Capacity Development of Local Partners in the spheres of Agriculture, Environment, Water and Sanitation, Governance, Peace and Security, Economy and Information.

By incorporating the new approaches to increasing engagement, understanding and commitment from a wide variety of sectors of society, ChangeMaker hopes to help the social change efforts adopt new strategies to survive and thrive, thereby increasing their prospects of being broad-based and durable enough to affect significant and lasting social, economic, and business improvements
