There Are People In Serious Distress
And It's Time To Lend A Hand |
Poverty is
generally the reasons of a weak national economy and poor
social, cultural, political, environmental and
infrastructural circumstances. Homelessness, hunger,
malnutrition, ill health, exclusion from educational
possibilities, inequality, political or other forms of
oppression and domination, absence of entitlements and non
availability of the minimum of necessaries required for
economic or biological survival traps the poor. Lack of good
fortune or self confidence with little or no respected from
others the poor passes their days with little ability to
meet their subsistence. Poverty drives the poor to even live
and engage in increasingly dangerous places and occupations.
Countless men, women and children are living in abject
poverty not only in Bangladesh but also in various regions
of the world. Millions more are spiraling down in the
poverty trap every year.
Poverty is not inevitable. Like in many countries, people of
Bangladesh have also become powerful forces to develop
practical strategies to address economic, social, cultural,
political, environmental as well as infrastructural
circumstances to fight poverty in their respective
communities. Many of these actions have demonstrated how
real change can be effected and men, women and children's
lives made safer from homelessness, hunger, malnutrition,
ill health, exclusion from educational possibilities,
inequality, political or other forms of oppression and
domination, absence of entitlements and non availability of
the minimum of necessaries required for economic or
biological survival.
